For over 20 years, Teresa Hall, M.S. has inspired and educated others to improve their health and quality of life through physical activity. She has professional experience in an array of health and fitness–related careers, including corporate wellness, clinical exercise physiology in cardiac rehabilitation, higher education, and commercial fitness. Currently, she the fitness/group exercise director at Nautilus and an adjunct assistant professor at Austin College in Sherman, Texas where she has taught academic courses in the Exercise and Sport Science Department since 1999.
Teresa has been actively involved as a professional educator and choreographer, both at home and internationally. She is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) faculty member and Aerobics and Fitness Association (AFFA) continuing education specialist. As a frequent presenter in the south, she has worked with organizations like Total Body Fitness, Fitness Group 2000, and VeryFit. In the DFW Metroplex, she has conducted master classes and workshops at Cooper Fitness Center at the Cooper Institute, Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center, The Sports Club at Four Seasons, The Veranda Club, Signature Athletic Club, Bally’s, and The Green Door Spa, to name a few.
Her passion to promote fitness has also taken her around the world. She lived and worked in Munich, Germany as a fitness professional at the renowned studio Prinz Health & Fitness. She has conducted numerous lectures and creative movement workshops at conventions throughout Europe, South Africa, China, and Puerto Rico.
Teresa has an intense desire to learn about the evolving field of health and fitness, which is evident by her commitment to ongoing education and certifications. She is a doctoral student at Texas Woman’s University pursuing a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology, has a master’s of science degree in Exercise Physiology, a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and has successfully passed several professional and specialty certifications, including The Cooper Institute (CI) Master Fitness Specialist, CI Biomechanics of Resistance Training, and CI Providing Dietary Guidance; ACE Personal Trainer and ACE Group Fitness Instructor; AFAA Weight Room Specialist, AFAA Group Exercise Instructor, and AFAA Step Instructor; Sara City Workout (SWC) Yoga Fundamentals, SWC Pilates Matwork Fundaments, and SWC Pilates Matwork Small Apparatus; Yoga-Fit® Yoga Instructor – Levels I, II, III, IV, & V, YogaFit® Seniors, and YogaFit® Kids; Zumba® BI & Zumba® B2, Zumbatomic®, Zumba Toning®; American Association of Lifestyle Counselor Weight Control Counselor and Stress Management Counselor; American Fitness Institute Kickboxing; Kick-fit Kickboxing; Peleton Cycling Instructor; Gliding Disc®; Resist-A-Ball®; Schwinn Cycle Coach and American Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Teresa is a 200 hr registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her professional affiliations include the American College of Sports Medicine and IDEA.
In the media, she has made appearances in the Swiss magazine “In Form,” “AsiaFit” magazine, DFW’s “Health and Fitness” magazine, was a runner up for L.A.’s Hot Skins fitness model search, and was a season cast member on ESPN 2’s “Crunch Fitness” national television show. Teresa is a staff contributor to the Health & Wellness section of “Texoma Living Magazine.” Additionally, she has donated her time and talents to many local and national charities. She has presented at Dallas “Workout for Hope” and served as chairperson organizing several workout benefits including the Women’s Crisis Center, Children’s Advocacy Center, Leukemia Society, American Heart Association, and Muscular Dystrophy Association. Monthly, she volunteers at a pre-school teaching an exercise class for 3 - 4 year olds and educating them on the importance of staying active.
Whether lecturing in the college arena, educating fitness professionals, or teaching a group exercise class, Teresa is a respected role model and professional. Her qualifications and experience, combined with her dynamic delivery of education and movement make her a true inspiration to all.
